Basically I recently started a new job as a Flight Attendant (which I am really excited about!!). I am going to start writing at least one thing that I do on my layovers!
For my job I moved to NYC. This is my second time going to NYC and it is still just as overwhelming! We graduated on November 30th
and flew out that same day. Since then we have found a place to live for the next 6 months in a location that is close to 2 of the 3 airports that we will have to fly out of. Now we are going out and exploring the city that we will be living in for the foreseeable future.

I love this city!! 😊 A lot more than I ever thought I would! There is so much to see and the people watching is the best! The only down side is how much colder it is here than what I'm used to (and it hasn't even started snowing yet!). The best thing to have is a 100% down jacket for when it really gets cold to go under your outer jacket. So far it hasn't been too cold, we have just needed sweaters with long sleeve shirts and scarves.
I know that I will quickly become very good at navigating on and between the subways and buses throughout the city. It's a little overwhelming at first with all of the different lines, between the E, F, Z, R, M and the 2, 3, 5 and 7 (this isn't even everything!) to then have to switch to the buses with the Q33, Q47, Q49 and Q70 to name a few it's a lot to take in when you aren't use to navigating public transportation. The trick I have found is that when you have the time to just get out and explore the different areas and routes to get there. At different times of the day a different subway/bus then you usually take is faster. And if you go the wrong way, DON'T PANIC just get off at the next stop, don't exit the subway station you can usually just go up stairs and then down to the correct side to go back the correct way. Many subway stations connect to other lines, so if needed you can go to another station and connect to a different line all without exiting the station. Depending on how long you are planning to be in the city and what you plan to do, you can either get an unlimited pass or you can get a subway pass with money on it.
I hope some of this helps! I will add more as I explore my new city even more and as I travel to different places with my new job.
More soon!
